Nursing Home Services
Special Diets
We cater for special diets. Our cook works in close consultation with residents / relatives and nursing staff to provide fresh meals suited to individual client needs. Prior to admission you or your representative will be will consulted on your likes, dislikes and any dietary requirements you may have in order that we can ensure that you settle into your new home as soon as possible.
Telephones
If any residents require a personal telephone service, this can be arranged. Residents can use several phones throughout the home and staff will assist them to do so.
Hairdressing
The home has a visiting hairdresser who attends on Wednesdays. The visiting hairdresser carries public liability insurance. If you would prefer, hairdressing can be arranged in the village.
General Practitioners Visits
Dr Macdonald visits the home every Tuesday from 11 - 12 hours. He is the GP for Church Farm, working for the Cotgrave Health Centre.
Dentist
Dental appointment, private or national health can be made via the nurse in charge. Domiciliary visits can be arranged for residents not well enough to travel. We use the local dentist in Cotgrave but where an existing dentist is involved with clients we will endeavor to retain that connection.
Chiropody
We provide in house chiropody every six weeks. Extra appointments can be arranged if necessary.
Dancing with Aidy
1 hour of mild aerobic exercise every Thursday afternoon.

Aromatherapy
The home employs the services of an aroma therapist who visits the home twice a week. Extra appointments can be arranged directly if required.
This therapy is useful in helping residents who are experiencing anxiety or just for general relaxation purposes.
Newspapers
Daily newspapers and magazines are provided. Specific requirements are catered for.
Activities
As an activity team, we strive to provide a wide range of activities to cater for everyone's needs and interests, mixing stimulation with fun.

Biscuit Decorating
A range of musical entertainers visit every week. We endeavor to take at least one trip out of the home every week, through the year.
In addition to these weekly trips, we offer two boat trips every summer, picnics in parks, Goose Fair, Nottingham Castle, pub trips, zoo trips and the garden centre at Christmas. We encourage relatives to join us, making these events more enjoyable and memorable. Arrangements are made for special days including Christmas, New Year, Mothers Day, Fathers Day and residents birthdays. |
