Church Farm Nursing Home

We have a beautiful, mature front garden as well as an enclosed secure rear courtyard garden with a vegetable patch where residents can enjoy the outdoors at their leisure. Particularly in the summer months residents love to go outside and explore the garden while basking in the sunlight.

Residents can assist in growing vegetables as well as tending the garden and mowing the lawn if they wish to. All of the gardens have been designed sympathetically, with dementia care in mind. This means that our occupants can explore the outdoors at leisure and with a certain degree of independence but in the greatest possible security.

At Church Farm Nursing Home we always remember that:

"To have the opportunity to be in the garden, to do something that is creative and active, that brings happiness and pleasure is crucially important to feelings of 'being at home' "

Bhatti, 2006

We are very proud of our garden. When family and friends come to visit residents they often enjoy walking around the garden together. If you are considering whether ours is the right care home for your relative then please contact us on 0115 9894595 with any questions.
