Church Farm Nursing Home

Our residents enjoy being part of the community, with regular walks to the local park, shops and Post Office, where social interaction and a feeling of community wholly enrich lives.

The Chiropodist, Aromatherapist and Hairdresser, Dentist and Optician visit regularly. (Aromatherapy has been proven to reduce agitation and restlessness in Dementia patients) We have an entertainer once a week, visits from a Music Therapist, who holds musical workshops as well as singing and dancing with the residents. Impromptu visits to the local supermarket, tearooms or local pub are often arranged, as well as organised trips throughout the year to local attractions including boat trips to nearby Newark. Outings to Twycross Zoo and Southwell Minster, and various art galleries.Friends and relatives are more than welcome to join us at any time. The activities team organise regular baking days where residents are invited to bake cakes. Arts and crafts days and cheese and wine tasting. We also have a Nintendo Wii with many games including 10 pin bowling.

We can provide transport for people having difficulty visiting, given some prior notice, at no charge.Relatives and friends are always welcome to stay for mealtimes.
